- Joy-Con named the removable controllers that sit on each side of the Nintendo Switch. There are two different Joy-Con, one right (R) and one left (L) that have slightly different functionality, but both of which are a full controller in themselves.
- A pair of Joy-Con included when purchasing Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch - OLED Model, but you can buy more Joy-Con to enable more players in compatible games. Joy-Con sold in pairs and separately. Please note that there is a difference between Right (R) and Left (L) Joy-Con. To use the Joy-Con grip accessory you need a left and a right Joy-Con.
- Both Joy-Con have built-in HD rumble which is an incredibly precise shake function. Additionally, Right Joy-Con features a motion sensitive IR camera that can read movements and shapes which opens up to unique gaming experiences.
- The Joy-Con strap is a Joy-Con accessory that attaches to the controller as well as your wrist. With this accessory, gaming will be safer. Using the Joy-Con strap is always recommended, especially in games that use motion controls. The Joy-Con strap is universal and fits both right and left Joy-Con.
- Joy-Con charges when connected to a Nintendo Switch console. You can also use the Joy-Con Charging Grip accessory to charge the Joy-Con.
